Matrixify is a Shopify app for bulk importing and exporting store data with spreadsheets. Ohavah turns your supplier invoices into Shopify-ready products, photos included. If you already have clean spreadsheets to move, Matrixify is built for that. If you're starting from the invoices your vendors send, Ohavah does the part that usually takes the longest.

Matrixify, which you might remember as Excelify, is a Shopify app for moving data in and out of your store in bulk using Excel and CSV files. It handles products, collections, customers, orders, discounts, pages, blog posts, redirects, and metafields, and a lot of stores lean on it for migrations, backups, and scheduled imports.
If your data already lives in a spreadsheet, or you're moving a whole catalog between stores, that's exactly what Matrixify is good at. For a boutique, the work it doesn't touch is the step before. You still have to build that spreadsheet yourself, with every product, variant, size, and price laid out the way the template expects.
Matrixify meters its plans by how many records a single import or export job handles, not by the month.
| Plan | Price | Limit per job |
|---|---|---|
| Demo | Free | Up to 10 items |
| Basic | $20 / 30 days | Up to 5,000 products per job |
| Big | $50 / 30 days | Up to 50,000 products per job |
| Enterprise | $200 / 30 days | Unlimited |
Ohavah prices differently. The Team plan is $75/month, or $62.50/month if you pay annually, which works out to 17% off. It covers up to three team members, comes with a 7-day free trial, and has no per-invoice charges, so running one invoice or fifty in a month doesn't change the price. For franchise groups and multi-location boutiques, Enterprise pricing is custom.
If you're weighing Matrixify mainly to make changes after products are already live, Shopify has built-in options for that too. Our guide to bulk editing products in Shopify walks through them.
Ohavah starts from the document your vendor actually sends you. Upload a supplier invoice or purchase order, whether it's a clean PDF or a scanned one, and Ohavah reads it, pulls out each product with its variants, sizes, colors, and prices, writes the descriptions, finds product photos from brand catalogs, and cleans up the images. What comes out is a Shopify-ready file you review and import yourself.
It works with Shopify and Lightspeed R-Series, and applies your markup, rounding, and SKU rules as it goes. When products come in a range of sizes and colors, Ohavah builds them out as proper Shopify variants, so you don't have to. Here's how product variants work in Shopify if you want the details.
The difference comes down to where each tool starts. Matrixify imports a spreadsheet you prepare, while Ohavah starts a step earlier, from the invoice itself, and builds that data for you.
Shopify's built-in assistant, Sidekick, can help with some tasks inside the admin, though it isn't built for turning a vendor invoice into a full product catalog. Store owners who've tried both tell us Ohavah is more accurate and more dependable for that specific job.

They solve different problems. Here's a quick way to tell which one fits.
Plenty of stores use both: Ohavah to build the product file from an invoice, and Matrixify if they later need to move or back up data in bulk.
Upload a supplier invoice and watch it become Shopify-ready products, photos included. Try Ohavah free for 7 days.
